Lisa Armony serves as Executive Director of Hillel Foundation of Orange County and director of the Rose Project of Jewish Federation & Family Services, Orange County. She oversees the operation of Hillel chapters at the University of California, Irvine, Chapman University and California State University, Fullerton and develops educational programs and initiatives about Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for students of diverse faiths and backgrounds. Prior to working in the Orange County Jewish community, she was a writer and reporter for numerous publications, often writing on issues of bigotry and anti-Semitism, campus climate and Jewish communities. She served as Communications Director for the Canadian Jewish Congress, Ontario Region, Media Affairs Officer for the Israeli Consulate in Toronto, and Director of the Institute for International Affairs at B’nai Brith Canada. Lisa received a BA in Government from Cornell University, graduating Magna cum Laude with Distinction in All Subjects, and has an MA and an M.Phil. in Political Science from Yale University. She also studied at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle East Studies at Tel Aviv University.
