Temple Beth Sholom’s 2020 Hanukkah Happenings

Hanukkah 2020 will begin in the evening of Thursday, December 10 and ends in the evening of Friday, December 18

As we have always lit our candles as a community, we will continue this tradition virtually this year. For the safety of our community and staff, we are moving all 8 nights of candle lighting to Zoom. This is a great opportunity for all to be able to light their own candles, be socially distant, see everyone’s smiles, and still be together. Utilizing Zoom, this will not just be a streamed event, but rather a communal event for all to see each other and talk to each other. Ditch your mask, grab your Hanukkiah, and join us from the comfort of your own home. We cannot wait for the 8th night to see our screens filled with many Hanukkiahs fully ablaze.

12/4-12/17 – #HanukkahAtHome Photo Collaboration – Our Sukkot Photo album was a huge hit and we can’t wait to see how you and your family celebrate Hanukkah at home. Upload pictures here of your holiday celebrations and traditions to our shared Google Photo album so we can celebrate together, apart.

12/10-12/17 | 5:00 p.m. each evening – Annual Menorah Lighting – We will light the hanukkiah each night. Let’s celebrate as we light up the night! Even though some nights are being sponsored by various TBS groups, all are welcomed and encouraged to join any and all nights.
