Jewish Journeys!

Jewish Journeys is a class for those wishing to learn the basics of Jewish life and practice as well as those who want a Judaism refresher. We will explore topics from the Jewish calendar to Jewish history, text, liturgy and life cycle.

This series begins August 12, 2019 and will be taught by Rabbi Heidi Cohen, Cantor David Reinwald, and Jodi Kaufman, RJE

Cost:
Members — $80 for the series of 10 classes or $10 per class.

Non members — $130 for the series of 10 or $15 per class.

All class times except where noted are 6:30-8:30 pm at Temple Beth Sholom

What is Judaism? Exploring the Jewish Calendar – the ebb and flow of the year. Starting with preparing ourselves with Elul to finding meaning in the High Holy Days

Monday, September 9:
How do we pray during the High Holy Days? Exploring the beauty of the High Holy Day Liturgy

Tuesday, October 15:
Jewish History on one foot!

Monday, November 4:
Shabbat – it happens every week, so we can experiment with different ways to make it special for ourselves.

Monday, December 9:
Chanukah
