TBS Joins Anti-Defamation League's Kulanu Program

Kulanu, meaning “all of us” in Hebrew, is ADL’s no-cost, self-directed national synagogue engagement program that empowers synagogues to fight against antisemitism and hate in their own communities. In its first year, 220 synagogues participated, representing a variety of denominations and sizes across the country.

Our congregation is one of hundreds across North America doing the critical work of combatting antisemitism and hate in partnership with ADL, Anti-Defamation League. As a Kulanu synagogue, we will learn how to have critical conversations about antisemitism and other forms of bigotry and cultivate the tools to fight them.

Among the many benefits of the Kulanu program is the ability to learn from and with other congregations across the continent also addressing antisemitism and hate in their communities.
As Simon Wiesenthal said, “the struggle against hatred should be a constant battle.” The time has come for us to stand together and lead the way in Orange County to raise our collective voices against hate and bigotry.

We have established a task force of 17 congregants and our Rabbi, operating under the umbrella of the Social Action Committee, to lead TBS in this endeavor and we are looking forward to sharing more information with you in the coming weeks.
