Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore | The ReStore is a place where people can purchase recycled home furnishings at a very affordable price. Proceeds from these items go into the actual building of the homes within the Habitat projects. Hemopet Lifeline (FULL) |
“Loving an animal translates into being loving to people.” For more than 20 years, Hemopet has been a pet lifeline. They established the first non-profit national animal blood bank. Their greyhound rescue program has re-homed more than 1500 dogs from the racing industry and placed them as family companions. These retired greyhounds need your love and attention! Volunteers will walk the dogs and play with them at their Garden Grove home. |

“An Urban Oasis” The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park has mission is to instill a passion for the natural world through recreation, education and conservation. Our group will help clean the supply area in the back of the zoo. |

Silverado Nature Clean-up | We are privileged to live near an ecological and recreational paradise known as the Santa Ana Mountains. Our mountains are rich with biological diversity, that can be found nowhere else on earth. Unfortunately, the Santa Ana Mountains are highly threatened by pollution, habitat degradation, abuse, and neglect.Joel Robinson of Naturalist For You will be leading us to help clean up Silverado Canyon. Village of Hope (OC Rescue Mission)(FULL) |
“Giving Hope to Others” The Village of Hope currently houses a total of 196 homeless individuals consisting of homeless single men, single women, single women with children, single men with children, and two parent families. The largest homeless sub-population on the Village of Hope campus is single women with children. Volunteers with work with the children on arts and crafts projects and read stories. |

WISE Place | WISE Place offers housing and support services for homeless women who are committed to changing their lives. “Knit, Chat & Create a Cap” Join us in creating caps for people transitioning through the effects of chemotherapy or other life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Caps may be crotched or knitted. For specific information on acceptable yarn types and patterns please go http://www.knotsoflove.org/resources/patterns/ You can start working right away and bring your finished products and those in progress to the Social Hall on November 13th. |
