These monthly meetings allow time to unpack the news of the day, discuss the meaning of events as Jews, and review what we think is right and wrong with world. Sure, we don’t always agree, but we do follow one simple rule: Be Civil.

Why do we call it “Coffeehouse”? Since the founding of the first coffeehouses in the Middle East and Europe, they functioned as places where people gathered to discuss and dispute the state of the world.

Coffeehouse Trivia:

  • Coffeehouses in 18th century Dublin were the first readily accessible lending libraries for the public.
  • The first coffeehouse in England was set up in Oxford in 1650 by a Jewish man named Jacob.

If right of center politically people are welcome, I would like to attend.
