Josh Green and friends with blankets for Mitzvah Project
I am very proud of Josh Green and his friends from this year’s B’nei Mitzvah class and from his neighborhood and school who came together recently to make blankets for Orangewood. It all started when Josh came to class one Sunday morning and asked them to join him at his house for a blanket making party for kids living at Orangewood. He encouraged them to participate in this mitzvah project that he hoped would bring some special kids a little extra TLC during a challenging time in their lives.
Thanks to Josh’s sister, Maia, who inspired Josh by her own blanket project just a few years ago.

All in all I had 25 enthusiastic friends and relatives join me in my project. I picked this project because I love the idea of giving back to the world by helping others. When I went to delivier the blankets to Orangewood, and talked to the person in charge, I felt very good about my self and what I was doing. I am very satisfied with the outcome and hope to do some more.
