This Morning we eased back into our tour with a proper Israeli hotel breakfast and into the bus by 8:40. Our first stop was Yad L’kashish – “Lifeline for the Aged”. This is a support center for seniors and disabled Israelis who need more income and/or something to keep them busy and in a community of friends.
Yad L’Kashish houses workshops where they create beautiful items of metalwork and fabric and paper crafts. Luckily we came by to take a good portion of them off their hands in the gift shop.
Our next stop was also an emotional stop: Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial.
Mike took us on a guided tour through the entire main exhibit, then we participated In a short memorial service led by Rabbi Cohen at the children’s memorial.
Let’s have some photos with Matt and Rabbi Heidi together:)
